Why right now is the perfect time to start living the dream, or at least planning for it

The Time Has Never Been Better

If the current times of Corona Pandemonium has taught us anything in this stranger than strange 2020, it is to re evaluate our places in the universe, and indeed our places in today's society. Many have the dream: "Move to a exotic place where there are endless summer days sitting on a beach sipping tropical drinks etc, etc. and blah blah blah." The truth of the matter is, if you've been living paycheck to paycheck or working to build something in America or anywhere else in the world, you may be wondering what it is all for. Raising families and developing sense of community are certainly high on most folks agendas, but does it have to be while working a 9 to 5 to cherish a few moments of togetherness on weekends with a trip to the lake or seashore. 

 It has been ingrained in many of our minds to take this avenue until we are 65 and then try to get back in shape to enjoy the time we have left chasing our dreams. 

 I moved to Belize back in 2003, when I was in my mid 40's, and have never looked back. Though I waited until our kids were grown and out of the house, if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have waited so long. The kids I see come down here with their parents at a young age become worldly and compassionate young adults once removed from the privilege and consumerism that many more developed countries tend to foster in their youth populations. 

  The people that have learned they can work at home will change the face of global economics even more, giving more opportunity for a younger population to begin to realize that there is a big wide world out there for them and waiting until you are 65 no longer needs to be the norm.
